Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM to noon and 1:00 PM-4: 00 PM.
On Thursdays, most shops close for the afternoon.
There are a variety of stores, shopping centre's, and gift boutiques. Many of which produce there own locally crafted items from poetry, crafts, wood carvings, clothing, jewelry, furniture, paintings, and much more. The Island is well regarded for West Indian dishes this includes seafood, beef, and chicken. Usually the dining is informal and the meals are sometimes taken on out-door patio's. If Island food is not your style and you like to cook your own food while on vacation, several grocery stores are available with extremely great prices.
On the weekends down town has an outstanding market, where all the islanders gather to sell there freshly grown fruits, vegetables, and meats. If you explore around the Island you'll also find fish markets or locals selling fish straight off the boat. Deepe Bay is a well-known place to find fresh crabs, lobsters, shrimp, and all kinds of fish. Not only are the locals friendly but they also like to bargain so the more you buy the better the deal, try to bargain your self.
